Caletón de San Marcial is in the south of Lanzarote, within the protected natural area of Los Ajaches, on the Papagayo coast, where there is a series of wild beaches known as the Papagayo Beaches (Playas del Papagayo).

It is a fairly busy beach, especially in the summer, thanks to its calm waters, golden sands, and total absence of wind.

Due to the fact that it is within a protected and unspoilt environment, it can only be reached via unpaved dirt roads. There is a car park not too far away.
