El Golfo Beach (Playa del Golfo) is found in the south of Lanzarote, neighbouring the edge of the Timanfaya National Park and unique in that it is located just next to the renowned Charco de los Clicos.

It is a volcanic sand beach, where swimming is not advised because of its strong waves, although it is an ideal addition to a day in the area. It’s also highly recommended to taste the excellent fresh fish in the village of the same name, El Golfo.
