Famara Beach

Ideal for a long walk, watersports, or simply relaxing in the sand

Famara Beach (Playa de Famara) is in Teguise, in the south-east of Lanzarote, surrounded by a protected natural area and close to the small fishing village La Caleta de Famara.

Flanked by the striking Famara cliff and bathed in sand, Famara is a huge wild beach that offers some of the most spectacular scenery on the island. It is not the best beach for swimming due to the strong waves and continuous strong wind, but it’s ideal for a long walk, watersports, or simply relaxing in the sand.

Famara is an ideal place for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing, among other sports, and you’ll find a wide selection of training centres in the area. There are also different spaces for experts, novices, and bathers to enjoy the setting without any problems.

You can reach it on foot, it also has parking nearby and is on bus line 18.
