Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park
Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park is in one of Lanzarote’s main tourist areas, Puerto del Carmen. It’s much more than just a zoo – there are also various leisure activities on site.
From taking a pony ride to getting in a canoe and taking to the enormous lake covering part of the park, through to the play parks, the pools and many other activities designed for children – flying down a zip line etc.
The Park revolves around its animals. Throughout you’ll find a true menagerie: owls, parrots, snakes, cockatoos, Bengal tigers, and many more, with birds and reptiles dominating. What really catches the eye is the large lake, which is home to several Nile crocodiles, and of course we can’t forget the sea lion show, which takes place daily.
It also goes without saying that there are places within the park to grab a bite to eat and recharge your batteries.
Rancho Texas organises three shows with different birds of prey (eagles, vultures…), which will undoubtedly be good fun for children and adults alike. Not to forget the daily shows with cockatoos.
Pool Area
Rancho Texas couldn’t ignore Lanzarote’s excellent climate, so it also has a swimming pool area for all ages to enjoy. It’s a recommended area to put the icing on the cake of a day at the park.
There is a pool for babies, as well as another pool for older children which has small attractions to keep them busy. And of course, there is a full-size pool, which contains an enclosed area for the little ones.
You’ll also find a bar and restaurant where you can have something to eat or drink while the children are having fun.
