Discover 5 of Lanzarote’s Best Wild<\/strong> and (almost) Secret Beaches and How To Reach Them<\/p>\n

1. Playa de Janubio<\/h2>\n

Janubio Beach<\/strong> (Playa de Janubio<\/em>) is in an unspoilt area in the Yaiza municipality<\/a> in the south of Lanzarote, which has been designated as a protected natural area. Specifically, it is next to the lake with the same name and also the largest collected of salt flats on the island \u2013 the Salinas de Janubio<\/em>. It is a volcanic shingle beach, which is very quiet and has stronger than average waves.<\/p>\n

2. Playa del Jard\u00edn<\/h2>\n

To reach this beach, you need to follow a coastal path for around 3 kilometres from the village of Playa Quemada<\/em>. It is a volcanic rock beach hidden along Lanzarote\u2019s south-east coast, flanked by cliffs and visited by very few people. You can find it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

3. Calet\u00f3n Blanco<\/h2>\n

\"Calet\u00f3n<\/span>On the outskirts of the town of \u00d3rzola, you can find several striking white sand beaches, which contrast with the black of the volcanic rock and create a unique landscape on the island [find out more<\/a>].<\/p>\n

4. Calet\u00f3n de San Marcial<\/h2>\n

\"Calet\u00f3n<\/span>Everyone in lanzarote knows about the Papagayo Beaches, but among its many beaches is a small golden sand beach, which appears and disappears at the mercy of the tides. This is the Calet\u00f3n de San Marcial<\/em> and often goes unnoticed among the rest of the beaches [find out more<\/a>].<\/p>\n

5. El Pozo<\/h2>\n
